"Innovative Charter School of the Year" 2008-2009

     Nestled in the valleys of the Wasatch Front, Spectrum Academy is the first charter school in Utah to focus primarily on the unique learning needs of children with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Through small class sizes, individualized instruction and an innovative social skills curriculum, we help students reach their fullest potential academically, socially and emotionally, so they may enjoy productive and successful futures.

Temple Grandin, renowned author, speaker, animal scientist and autism self-advocate visited Spectrum Academy on November 1st. Dr. Grandin shared her experiences of how she has learned to live with autism and encouraged students to focus on their strengths so they could be independent and live their dreams.
