Transition Specialist: Who Am I?
My name is April T Giauque. I am a mother of 7 and I am a founding parent of Spectrum Academy. I have 4 children who are on the Spectrum and I have one who is deaf. I have my Master’s of Special Education, and I taught for 6 years as a 5thgrade teacher at Spectrum Academy. I took the opportunity to be the Transition Specialist in order to help students to be prepared and successful for their Post-High School education. Transition is very important to all of us and my goal is to help the Students at Spectrum Academy to achieve their post high school goals.
