Welcome Back!

Greetings Spectrum Family,

The 2021-22 school year is quickly approaching. I am sure many of you are anxious to learn who your child’s teacher will be. We are finalizing those lists and they will be available on August 10th. Your student’s teacher will be emailing you on that day, and will include their supply list along with other pertinent information.

I am excited to share with you some changes happening at our school. First, the elementary school has a new look! We have new flooring and new paint throughout the entire school. We are also in the process of adding a second portable with two additional classrooms. This will be located next to the existing one.

Next, we are thrilled to welcome Marci Tribe as our Reading Specialist. Marci brings many years of knowledge and experience working with struggling readers and students with learning disabilities. She and her team will be a huge asset to our school.

This year we would like to create more prep time for our teachers. To do this, we need parent volunteers to help during PE, Art, and Social Skills. Staff will be running these classes, but we will need extra hands. These classes will be the last hour of school. This is a great way to get your volunteer hours in and be a part of this great school. A background check is required (they are good as long as you have a student enrolled. See the office for more information). We are also hoping for volunteers to help with lunch and recess duty. A signup will be available in a future email and at back to school night.
