student success

Partnering with Parents to support students with Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) is something we take very seriously and pride ourselves in. Our IEP meetings are unlike any you have ever attended. We work together as a Team with Teachers, Related Services, Parents and other outside agencies when appropriate to develop the best educational program for our students. For more information about the Spectrum IEP Process or for questions about your students IEP please contact your Special Education Coordinator.

Let's talk...

Assessments provide a roadmap to determine what to teach, give evidence of what students have learned, and when used effectively, can even give students the satisfaction that they have made progress and the motivation to continue to learn. Creating and implementing an effective assessment system is beneficial to educators, administrators, parents, and students.

athletics & Clubs

Important Club Information

  • If a parent does not pick their child up by the time the club is scheduled to end, students must go to Panther Club.

  • Students must be able to stay for the duration of the scheduled club time.

  • Other clubs and sports may be added throughout the year.

Resources for Parents

Spectrum Academy is not only a place for students to learn, but for their guardians as well. Each month an evening class is scheduled and will include resources from our community and school staff.

You will receive PEN announcements via email.

Volunteer Opportunities

Parents of Spectrum Academy Students are asked to volunteer 40 hours of their time each school year, and an additional 10 hours for each additional student. There are many opportunities to fulfill this requirement and monetary donations can be given in lieu of hours ($10 =1 hour).

  • Donate items to your student's classrooms. The valuation of items are counted the same as a monetary donation, $10 = 1 hour.

  • Volunteer on our Fundraising Committee and help with the Gala, Turkey Trot and other events throughout the year.

  • Attend a Parent Empowerment Night (PEN). Learn something new and count those hours too!

  • Serve on the PTO and help with events like Teacher Appreciation, Red Ribbon Week, Book Fairs, etc.
