Spectrum Academy’s Trunk-or-Treat and Auto’s for Autism Car Show!
Each year, we bring our community together to provide local kids and families with a safe, accessible, and festive fall experience. Beyond the trick-or-treating available throughout the car show, we have specially designed a sensory-friendly Trick-or-Treat Tour tailored for individuals who benefit from a quieter, low-sensory atmosphere. The SA5K is not a race, but we do go the extra mile!
In 2020, the SA5K race was canceled, so we performed 5000 Acts of Kindness instead. As one of our more memorable events, we decided to make it a tradition.
Throughout the month of NOVEMBER this event helps us create a stronger and more connected community through performing acts of kindness. We track our efforts throughout the month to provide a visual reminder of our goal, encourage participation, and motivate us to the finish line! Celebrating together helps us see the powerful impact our combined efforts can have and inspires us to continue to spread kindness wherever and whenever we can.
5000 Acts of Kindness
- Perform acts of kindness by going the extra mile for someone else.
- Record the act by adding a sticker to the SA5K poster in any classroom.
- Schools that finish the SA5K will celebrate with a surprise!
Go the Distance
Individuals who Go the Distance to perform more than 50 acts of kindness outside of school will receive a SA5K MEDAL!
